Diamond Crest Service Unit Website - About Us

We are the Diamond Crest Service Unit (390), a Girl Scout organization within the Girl Scouts of Northern California Council. Our name - Diamond Crest - represents the four locations that are included in our Service Unit: Belmont, Redwood Shores, San Carlos and parts of San Mateo. We were previously known as Bel-Carlos. The continual high percent of participation in our organization can be attributed to the traditions, quality programs and dedicated volunteers that make up Diamond Crest. In addition to the usual activities associated with girl scouting (cookies, leadership, service, Thinking Day, camping, badges, awards) our scouts participate in community activities, "pow-wows", "sock-hops", "Rally Day" and attend our popular Diamond Crest Day Camp.

Diamond Crest Girl Scouts participate in over 100 troops, and attend more than 40 schools. Each year Diamond Crest has over 1,300 registered girls and over 1,000 registered adults.

In our Council, the Girl Scouts of Northern California, over 49,000 girls and 31,000 adults take part in Girl Scout programs each year. We tailor our programs for the developmental, educational, emotional and social needs of girls at six levels.
  • Girl Scout Daisy (grades K-1)
  • Girl Scout Brownie (grades 2-3)
  • Girl Scout Junior (grades 4-5)
  • Girl Scout Cadette (grades 6-8)
  • Girl Scout Senior (grades 9-10)
  • Girl Scout Ambassador (grades 11-12)
